About Bill
Bill Ewing brings to Good Group Decisions a wealth of experience in all aspects of non-profit management
including administration, mentoring, board development, fundraising, marketing and collaboration.
A recent transplant from Baltimore, Maryland, Bill's accomplishments include:

Directing the Maryland Food Bank, a very successful statewide nonprofit, including managing all phases of the organizational life cycle, quadrupling the volume of business, implementing a $7 million capital campaign, etc.;

Chairing the effort that established Maryland Association of Nonprofits (MANO), a pioneering and highly respected statewide organization, and serving in many subsequent capacities including MANO Board Chair;

Overseeing creation of Standards of Excellence, business-based statewide performance standards for non-profits;

Implementing exemplary, innovative programs in human services;

Developing numerous public/private partnerships;

Actively participating in several major leadership development organizations including Leadership Maryland, Greater Baltimore Committee Leadership, and the Weinberg Fellows Advisory Board;

Consistently demonstrating that collaboration and cooperation strengthen the non-profit community.

Bill's business-oriented approach stresses contextual analysis (big picture thinking), innovative problem solving, effective fundraising and resource procurement methods, and inventive marketing and public relations strategies.
Bill received his BS in business from the Johns Hopkins University. He lives in Harpswell with his wife, Lynn Lockwood, volunteers for several area non-profits, is a fixture on the Maine Pines tennis courts, and ponders the whereabouts and well-being of his three grown children.
