Nathan Grant
Nathan Grant developed a keen interest in meeting facilitation through serving as volunteer moderator for several American Democracy Project deliberative forums. During Nathan’s undergraduate studies, he presented at National Collegiate Honors Council conferences on the subject of deliberative forums and interstate collegiate forum collaborations. More recently, Nathan served as the moderator for two political panels featuring candidates running for Maine Governor in the lead up to the 2010 primary election. Nathan is interested in continuing to develop his skills through meeting recording and any available opportunities to practice the art of meeting facilitation.
A lifelong resident of Maine, Nathan enjoys exploring the natural beauty of his home state with his wife Renee. Whenever possible, Nathan escapes Maine to explore far off destinations. Nathan is currently a student at the Muskie School for Public Service at USM where he plans to graduate with a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management. Nathan is the USM Graduate Student Representative to the Board of Trustees and played a critical role in the creation of the USM Graduate Student Government. Nathan’s present policy interests include education, the environment, and citizen participation in democracy.
