Nancy Preuss: I and my colleagues here at Sandy Spring Friends School appreciate the twice monthly Tips for Good Group Decisions. Almost every time, at least one of the teachers in the lower, middle, or upper schools or the administrators, write to say thanks, saying it came at a great time for them professionally or personally. I know of at least one administrator who uses them to begin his weekly meetings, almost like a query. So we appreciate the wisdom.

Vicki L. Watson, Community Development consultant: I use the tips that come by email in the newsletter to my college entrepreneurship students. I plan to use the concepts for a youth business camp this summer (high school). Thank you for saying so well what so many young people have never been exposed to!

A Tips subscriber: I am so glad you kept me on your email list. I really enjoy reading your tips on a regular basis and always find great value in them. It is not uncommon for me to read them and think back on a particular time when the message in your email could have come in handy for me and/or for others.

Sara Trafton: I often will print tips out and share them as a meeting starter, or hand them out to my administrative staff. Craig, you have great stuff and I do steal from it a bit.
Shawn Lewin: Craig, when I read your note [about voting for a favorite tip], your suggestion that "It may take a moment of patience for the results to send and for the message to appear." was the seed for an excellent TIP. We are so quick to respond to another's comment or question, or to reenter when an an application does not immediately be confirmed. It may be in the mix already. If not, maybe it's worth putting on your list of potential future TIPs.
Anonymous: I wanted you to know that I used the Tips Book I downloaded on Monday to prepare for a group meeting on Wednesday. We had an important decision to make and I was concerned about how to present the issue and take the vote.
I skimmed the book and took note of the following tips to prepare myself and my materials:
"Assumptions Lead to Trouble"
"Decide How to Decide"
"Good Info Makes Decisions Self Evident."
The meeting went well, the right decision was made and everyone was happy. At the end of the meeting I shared info about your site/tips with the group. I want to say thank you. And as a group facilitator I am especially grateful.
Anonymous: Perfect good decision making tips! I will be sharing them with my staff.

Janice E. Daku: Craig, It was actually difficult to narrow my favorites down to only three. I think in each case, these tips resonated with my "deeply held beliefs", were consistent with my perspective and experiences I've had with the group/team process. By the way, The Leadership Challenge is one of my favorite "go to" resources. (Your tip on Leadership references it.) Happy New Year!

Anonymous: Craig...Thank you for these! You bring such a wise and pragmatic perspective to an environment which, it's my guess is startled by the rightness of what you suggest. Yours is a special kind of mission work:-)

Anonymous: Your "tips" emails are always the highlight of my day. Some ideas seem so basic but there is always more to the issue than meets the eye. Common sense just isn't so common!

Laura Vittorioso: All of the "good group decisions" have been valuable. I look forward to them and share with others...even my kids! I have learned so much from the tips....such simple, common sense advise that we forget in our day to day life and work. I print them out and have them in a notebook. When I feel confused or conflicted, I re-read them, and always find something to make me feel better. Thanks so much for continuing to create these wonderful, insightful tips!
